You must have a UNIX password in order to access MyUAlbany/IAS beginning on August 4. You may already use your UNIX password in order to access WebMail, Blackboard and other UNIX services.
If you’re not sure whether you have a UNIX password, or don’t remember what it is, you will need to set one in order to access MyUAlbany/IAS. Visit https://uapps.albany.edu:8443/itspwdmaint/resetpwd.htm to complete the process. ITS recommends you complete this process now and set all your accounts to access MyUAlbany/IAS and UNIX services using the same password so you’ll be ready on August 4. Call the ITS HelpDesk at (518) 442-3700 if you have any questions. Please note that the Password Set/Reset feature will be unavailable during the shut down.
A few reminders: don’t be fooled by fraudulent attempts to gain access to your account or password information. The University will never ask you to reveal this information. The Password Set/Reset site is a secure site you can safely use to change your password. Don’t forget to close your browser window whenever you finish using an application that requires you to login or authenticate with a password. This is the best way to protect your accounts and electronic assets.
More information about the upgrade is available at https://wiki.albany.edu/display/iasupgrd.
