International Conference on Women and Development: Focus on Latin America and Africa

This international conference will bring together leading scholars who study women's place in economic development in the various countries of Latin America and Africa to report on the complex interactions between changes in social production and social relations as they affect women. A third session will provide the opportunity to learn how women's studies research and programs are developing in Latin America and Africa. The format of the conference will encourage open discussion and debate.

The Conference will be held at the University at Albany, Campus Center second floor Assembly Hall. Due to limited space, we ask that you try to pre-register early.
