Cautionary Note: The margin of error (or confidence interval) when generalizing back to the actual student populations of the overall results for master�s or doctoral students at the campus-wide level in any particular survey year is around plus or minus three percentage points. When the data are further broken down by department, sex, or race/ethnicity category, the margin of error increases appreciably due to lower sample sizes. Therefore, it is suggested that when examining survey result breakouts beyond the campus-wide level, readers should keep this lack of precision in mind, and regard the results as one would feedback from focus groups or other small sample sized surveys.
