Pricing

Weekday workshops for University at Albany organizations are free. Pricing for external organizations and for any weekend workshops is dependent upon several factors including the size of the group and timeframe of the workshop. Please submit the workshop request form on this web page and indicate “quote requested” in the comment field and we will be happy to provide you with that information.

Parking

Weekday parking for external organizations is fee-based. Please see the Parking Management website for details.

Deposits

A deposit for your workshop is due 10 business days in advance. The deposit will reflect ½ of the final workshop fee. The remaining balance will be due the day of the workshop. Checks should be made payable to The University at Albany.

Food Service

Food service can be arranged for all workshops – continental breakfast, lunch, snacks, & beverages. Campus organizations may contact the Chartwells Catering Office directly at (518) 442-5986 or catering@albany.edu. Off-campus organizations should discuss options and pricing when confirming their workshop. Water is provided at all workshops.

Clothing Suggestions

This is a physically active workshop so dress for your comfort. Sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended. Given the nature of the activities, open toe shoes are not permitted. Please keep in mind that this is an outdoor workshop and clothing and shoes may get dirty. During the cooler months we suggest dressing in layers. Sunscreen is always suggested.

Weather Conditions

This is an outdoor workshop and will move inside only in the event of significantly inclement weather that would cause a safety concern. The Office of Student Involvement & Leadership and the sponsoring organization will review the weather forecast in the week prior to the workshop to discuss any concerns or a need to reschedule.

Medical Release Forms

Groups will be provided with medical release forms in advance of the workshop for participant review. They will turn them in at the start of the workshop. All information is confidential and will not be shared with the sponsoring organization. It is important that participants provide any medical background that may have an impact on their participation. In addition, please advise us in advance of any special access needs or physical limitations of any of your participants to ensure that we create a workshop that will include everyone.

Winter Workshops

Indoor leadership and teambuilding workshops are also available November – March. Please contact the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership at (518) 442-5566 for further information.
