Q: Do I have to be athletic
to participate?
A: The low ropes challenge course can accommodate participants
of all ages and physical skill levels. As part of the reservation
process, the Student Involvement & Leadership staff will request
background on your members to customize a workshop to their abilities.
Q: Do I have to be a University organization
to schedule a workshop?
A: External organizations are invited to schedule a workshop at
the University at Albany Low Ropes Challenge Course. Fee information
is provided in the workshop
section of this website.
Q: What if some members of our group have
already participated in a workshop?
A: Many groups choose to make the low ropes course challenge an
annual experience. Workshops can be designed to implement new
activities and to expand the role of returning participants. Discuss
this with the Student Involvement & Leadership staff when
scheduling your session.
Q: Can my group participate in more than
one workshop?
A: The low ropes course offers a variety of activities and countless
workshop combinations. Groups can choose to build upon their ropes
course experience and enjoy additional course elements by scheduling
follow-up workshops throughout the year. The Student Involvement
& Leadership staff can discuss your options and the appropriate
arrangements for your group.
Q: Where is the course?
A: The low ropes course is located behind Indian Quad, between
the Quad and the lacrosse fields.

Q: Where should I park?
A: We recommend that external organizations use the Visitor Lot
at the entrance to Indian Quad (the low ropes course is located
behind this Quad). Details and pricing are available on the Parking
Management website. Weekend parking in the Visitor Lots is
free.
