PROCEDURES FOR SUBMITTING ITEMS TO E-NEWS

E-News is the official weekly electronic newsletter published by the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership, featuring details on upcoming campus events and other University information of interest to students.

Past issues can be accessed at http://albany.edu/involvement/enews.

E-News will typically be sent to the undergraduate listserv each Monday when classes are in session. Please note the following guidelines:

  • Items submitted for inclusion in E-News should be of mass appeal. Items directed to a certain major, academic class year, residence hall, or other limited audience are better served by other listservs/mediums.

  • A 150x150 pixel image, 72 dpi should be submitted that represents your item. For example, this can take the form of a logo or be an image taken at the previous year’s event.

  • There is no limit to the length of your submission. However, you are encouraged to submit information that is as brief and concise and, whenever possible, create a page on your office/department’s web site that can be linked to from E-News.

  • All efforts will be made to include all submissions. However, due to demand and limited space, some submissions may be omitted to allow for higher-priority campus-wide messages, or may appear in the following week’s edition. As a result, you are encouraged to disseminate your information via other channels in addition to E-News. If space allows, some items may be repeated across multiple editions.

  • Submissions are due by 5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to publication. Please send materials to Pamela Malatesta, Interim Assistant Director of Student Involvement & Leadership, at [email protected] and specify the edition in which you’d like your item included. Items will be included on a first-come first-served basis.

  • Student Involvement & Leadership reserves editing rights. For message consistency within the edition, slight edits may be made. These edits will not change the message of your material.
