Senate Forum on The Solomon Amendment
A forum on The Solomon Amendment will be held on Wednesday, November
9th from 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. in Campus Center Room 375.
A highlight of the Forum will be viewing a videotaped moot court demonstration
that makes arguments about a case pending before the U.S. Supreme Court.
This case challenges The Solomon Amendment, a federal law that requires
schools receiving federal funding give equal access to military representatives
for recruiting purposes.
Steve Messner, Chair of the University Senate, will moderate the program.
Post-video commentary will be offered by James Acker (School of Criminal
Justice), Kyle Ketchum (College Republicans), and Ben O'Shaughnessy (Campus
Action).
