National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week

The week of October 24 - 28 is packed with events, displays, and games, but be sure not to miss the following events:

“What We See and What We Believe: A New Way of Looking at College Drinking”

  • Monday, October 24th, 3:30 - 5:00 PM, Campus Center Terrace Lounge
  • Social norms expert Dr. H. Wesley Perkins, Professor of Sociology at Hobart and William Smith Colleges will offer this student forum and talk. Dr. Perkins has conducted extensive research over the last two decades on alcohol and other drug problems among college students, adolescents, and adults. His work has focused on uncovering peer misperceptions of alcohol and other drug norms and developing the social norms approach to prevention.

“Can I Kiss You?” by Mike Domitrz

...A hilarious look at dating, hooking up, and communication

  • Tuesday, October 25th at 7:30 PM, Campus Center Ballroom
  • Mike Domitrz has been inspiring college students with his hilarious sense of humor and his truly unique approach to healthier dating and communication. He is the Founder and Executive Director of “The Date Safe Project” (www.thedatesafeproject.org).
  • First 25 attendees receive free T-shirts!
