Homecoming/Family Weekend
Whether you have family coming for a visit or will be
spending the weekend with friends, Homecoming/Family Weekend has something
for everyone! Highlights include:
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12th
- Watch UAlbany’s own sketch comedy performed by
The Sketchy Characters in the Campus Center Terrace Lounge from 8pm-10pm
or enjoy a stress down chair massage from 8pm-10pm in the Campus Center
TV Lounge. View The Bourne Ultimatum in the Performing Arts
Center at 9pm. Play HALO 3 and Guitar Hero in the Danes After Dark Lounge
(Campus Center upper lounge) from 8pm-Midnight.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13th
- Touchdown Tailgate. Bring your grill,
cooler and chairs and get ready to root on our UAlbany Great Danes as
they take on the Sacred Heart Pioneers. Enjoy live music, food, and
beverages. Parking is $5 in the SEFCU Arena Lot and free in the Dutch
Lot. Space is limited, so plan to get your spot early. 2:00 - 4:00
p.m.
- Football vs. Sacred Heart. Come show
your purple and gold pride as the University at Albany faces Sacred
Heart. UAlbany students free with SUNY card. 4:00 p.m., University
Field.
- Comedy Night. After a long day touring
the campus and cheering on our teams, come kick up your feet and join
us for a night of laughs with the cast of VH1's Best Week Ever. Admission
is free, but seating is limited, so come early! Sponsored by the Office
of Student Involvement & Leadership and the Student Association.
9:00 p.m., Campus Center Ballroom
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14th
- Student Association Brunch.
A popular event, the brunch always includes outstanding performances
by the University’s own award winning a capella groups, the Earth
Tones and Serendipity. An enjoyable event that has traditionally sold
out — so get your tickets early! Cost: $15.00 adults/$7.50 under
10/3 and under free. 11:00 a.m., Campus Center Ballroom.
