Homecoming / Family Weekend
Whether you have family coming for a visit or will be
spending the weekend with friends, Homecoming / Family Weekend has something
for everyone!
Highlights include:
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7
Homecoming House Party
- Join friends and family for a night of fun and relaxation
to kick off the weekend during this Danes After Dark featured event.
Caricatures, massage chairs, psychic readings, photo booth and more
— all FREE! Stake your claim to victory at the NBA Live 2006 Tournament
or at the Madden 2006 Playstation hub.
- 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., Campus Center Food Court
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8
Touchdown Tailgate
- Bring your grill, cooler and chairs and get ready
to root on our Great Danes as they take on the Stony Brook Seawolves.
Enjoy music; the Family Fun Zone; and beer, soft drinks and food available
on a cash basis. Parking is $4 in the RACC Lot and free in the Dutch
Lot. Space is limited, so plan to get your spot early.
- 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. RACC Parking Lot
Football vs. Stony Brook
- Come show your purple and gold pride as the University
at Albany faces Stony Brook. Head Coach Bob Ford guides UAlbany’s
2002 & 2003 Northeast Conference champions. UAlbany students free
with SUNY card.
- 4:00 p.m., University Field
Comedy Night
- After a long day touring the campus and cheering on
our teams, come kick up your feet and join us for a night of laughs
as we feature a variety of performers from New York City and the local
comedy club circuit. This event is free, but seating is limited, so
come early. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Some performances
may include adult content and/or language. Sponsored by the Office of
Student Involvement & Leadership and the Student Association. Free.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9
President's Brunch
- This event is sponsored by the Student Association
to provide parents, alumni, and family members an opportunity to hear
from President Kermit L. Hall as well as members of the Student Association.
The brunch always includes outstanding performances by the University’s
own award winning a cappela groups, the Earth Tones and Serendipity.
An enjoyable event that has traditionally sold out — so get your
tickets early! Cost: $15.00 adults/$7.50 under 10/3 and under free.
