Constitution Day and President Hall Memorial Service

You are invited to join the University at Albany community to celebrate the life of President Kermit L. Hall on Monday, September 18, 2006, 10-11:15 a.m. The commemoration will be held at the Recreation and Convocation Center (RACC) on the uptown campus. A reception will follow.

Parking and shuttles will be available in all Quad lots. Students who have class should speak to their instructors regarding attendance.

The late Kermit Hall was a nationally recognized expert on the U.S. Constitution and was frequently invited by the local and national media to comment on major U.S. Supreme Court rulings on constitutional rights. He also carried around his own pocket Constitution.

On Monday, September 18th, the University will celebrate the most important piece of legislation ever drafted in this country on Constitution Day. Activities include viewings of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" and School House Rock's "The Preamble," plus pocket Constitution giveaways. Click here to download the flyer.
