UAlbany Supports Virginia Tech
In light of the recent tragedy at Virginia Tech, the UAlbany
National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is spearheading a card
drive to collect cards and letters from UAlbany students and faculty to
show UAlbany's support for those at Virginia Tech. Drop boxes are located
in the Indian, State, Colonial, and Dutch Quad offices, as well as LC
30 in the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies. NSCS will be tabling
on Wednesday, April 25th in the Lecture Center Concourse, and will supply
paper and markers on site for those wishing to make cards. Store bought
or home made cards are welcome! Cards and letters will be collected until
Friday, April 28th. If you have any questions about this
program, please email the President of the UAlbany NSCS chapter, Nina
Konar, at nk975699@albany.edu.
Also, Fr. Paul Butler, Catholic Campus Minister at UAlbany,
is gathering a "book of thoughts and prayers" to be sent to
Virginia Tech. If you would like to participate, please write down thoughts
or prayers and e-mail to pbutler@albany.edu.
He will mail them to the Virginia Tech ecumenical interfaith campus ministry
group early next week.
