Student Association Elections

Don't miss your opportunity to choose your Student Association (SA) representatives!

When: Tuesday, April 17th & Wednesday, April 18th
Where: On your computer! Vote on MyUAlbany from midnight Tuesday to 11:59 pm Wednesday.

In addition to electing candidates this year, we will also be voting on whether or not to keep the Student Activity Fee as a mandatory fee. The Student Activity Fee is currently paid by all undergraduate students. It funds Student Association recognized groups such as Hillel, Middle Earth, ASUBA, Fuerza Latina, the Earth Tones, Intramural and Club Sports, Five Quad, and many others. The Student Activity Fee also pays for student resources like Dippikill, Student Legal Services, Homecoming as well as concerts like Parkfest and other comedy shows and events.

Candidates are as follows:

  • President – Simon Afeworki, Rashaun Allen, Kevin Caneco, Mark Trebatch, & Brian Tregerman

  • Vice President – Michael Burton, John DiGregorio, Jonathan Hammond, & Diana Hazan

  • University Council – Reuben Ingber, Ben Jacobs, Karl Schlegel, Dan Truchan III, & Shane West

  • Student Assembly Delegate – Samantha Bernstein, Michael Burton, Nicholas Fahrenkopf, Jonathan Hammond, Reuben Ingber, Ben Jacobs, Nikki Kotary, Daniel Nealon, Lynne Radle, Karl Schlegel, Brian Tregerman, Monica Vargas, & Shane West

  • Senator At-Large – Rachel Barnehama, Samantha Bernstein, Mike Cassidy, Prashanth “P.C.” Chanbrasegaran, Even Cordaro, Nicholar Fahrenkopf, Amanda Holzer, Reuben Ingber, Ben Jacobs, Nikki Kotary, Fiorella Leal, Amanda Menneto, Daniel Nealon, Ana Maria Perez-Paulino, Lynne Radle, Karl Schlegel, Josh Sussman, Daniel Truchan III, Monica Vargas, & Shane West

You may also choose to vote for a person not listed on the ballot. Write-in candidates must meet eligibility requirements for each position. Enter the full name as registered with the University. Presidential candidates must have a cumulative grade point average above 2.5. All other positions require a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher. All candidates must be in good judicial standing with the University.
