Student Association Elections

Interested in getting involved in student government? Run for a position in SA!

Student Association, also known as “SA,” is the student government of the undergraduate students at the University at Albany. SA is similar to the structure of our federal government, with an Executive Branch, Legislative Branch, and a Judicial Branch. The main goal of Student Association is to serve the student body and enhance the UAlbany experience.

Elections for the following positions will be held April 17-18th:

• President

• Vice-President

• SA Senate

• University Council

• SUNY Student Assembly

Candidate forms are now available in the Student Association office (Campus Center 116) or for download here. Forms are due to SA on March 28th by 4:55 p.m. For position descriptions, contact Josh Sisskind, SA Elections Commissioner (josh.sisskind@gmail.com) or Nick Chiuchiolo, SA President (pres@albany.edu).

A mandatory candidates meeting will be held on March 28th @ 7:00 p.m. (location TBA). Candidates will debate on April 11th (details TBA).

President & Vice-Presidential candidates only: It is required to obtain signatures and identification numbers from 100 University at Albany undergraduate students. Please return the signature sheets with your self-nomination form by Wednesday, March 28th.
