Parkfest 2008: Battle of the Bands Student Assocation brings you Parkfest 2008 on Saturday, May 3rd on Collins Circle. As part of this year's event, a VIRTUAL Battle of the Bands competition will be held. The winning band will go on to open at Parkfest!!! That's right, the winning band goes on to perform in front of hundreds on the big stage at Parkfest. The winning band will be featured in SPIN MAGAZINE!! That's right - YOU and YOUR BAND will be published in one of the HOTTEST MAGAZINES in the nation and go on to compete in the GRAND PRIZE round! Interested bands should submit Myspace addresses, a short band bio, and pictures of the band to parkfest@albany.edu by MARCH 27th. Three bands will be chosen to compete in an online voting contest in early April. The winner plays at Parkfest!
