Frankenstein Student Competitions Mary Shelley was 18 years old when she started writing Frankenstein. She was twenty-one when Frankenstein was published. For nearly two centuries, Mary Shelley’s compelling account of medical student Victor Frankenstein and the living monster he created in his laboratory has gripped imaginations. UAlbany undergraduate students are invited to exercise their creativity and to enter the Frankenstein student competitions. Collaborative projects are encouraged and students may enter the writing contest or the visual contest. For the writing contest, a short story, play or hypertext fiction may be submitted and in the visual competition, digital video or digital art may be submitted. The submission deadline is the Ides of March – March 15, 2005. Winners will be announced on April 15, 2005. Thematic suggestions, submission guidelines, judges, and prizes are detailed at http://library.albany.edu/imc/exh/stucomp.htm |
