LUNCHEON
Please
join the University at Albany community on February
11, 2004 @ 12 noon in the Campus Center Ballroom.
The
luncheon is held each year and attracts a capacity audience
of 250 students, faculty, staff, and community guests. Some
of the distinguished keynote speakers to address the luncheon
in the past include Julian Bond, James Farmer, Randall Robinson,
and the late Judge A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr. This year’s keynote
speaker will be Dr. Manning Marable, Professor
of Public Affairs, Political Science, and History, founding
Director of the Institute for Research in African American
Studies (1993-2003) and Director of the newly established
Center for Contemporary Black History at Columbia University
in New York City.
Admission
is free. Seating is limited and will be first come, first
