| Beth joined
Student Involvement & Leadership in the fall of 2003
after serving as an Assistant Director of Career
Services since the fall of 1999; she has also spent
summers as Assistant Director to the Orientation program.
In her current role, Beth serves as a liaison to pre-professional,
social, and service student organizations in addition to
serving as Faculty Advisor to Five
Quad Volunteer Ambulance Service. Her responsibilities
include overseeing the reservation office, projects related
to the web and graphic design, creating E-News (the weekly
e-mail newsletter sent to all undergraduates), and planning
several major campus events. Each year, for example, she
organizes the application and selection process for the
President’s Award for Leadership and coordinates the
award ceremony.
Beth is frequently seen showing her support
for several University events, including the Relay For Life
and the Big Purple Growl, and has been honored with the
Student
Association Outstanding Administrator Award (2007),
Student Association Mentor Award (2006), and the Presidential
Honors Society Sung Bok Kim Award (2004). Since January
2005, she has served as Faculty Secretary to the
UAlbany Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership
Honor Society and is the recipient of The Eldridge W.
Roark, Jr. Meritorious Service Award. A trained Project
Adventure, Inc. facilitator, Beth holds memberships in Psi
Chi National Society in Psychology, the National Association
of Student Personnel Administrators, and UAlbany’s
own Spirit Committee. She is an alumna of SUNY Fredonia
and the University of Hartford. Prior to joining the UAlbany
family, she worked at the University of Connecticut and
University of Hartford in counseling and health education
capacities.
