| Beth joined
Student Involvement & Leadership in the fall of 2003
after serving as an Assistant Director of Career
Services since the fall of 1999; she has also spent
summers as Assistant Director to the Orientation program.
In her current role, Beth serves as a liaison to pre-professional,
social, and service student organizations in addition to
serving as Faculty Advisor to Five
Quad Volunteer Ambulance Service. Her responsibilities
include projects related to the web and graphic design (including
MyInvolvement.org)
and planning several major campus events. Each year, for
example, she organizes the application and selection process
for the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence and
the President’s Award for Leadership.
Beth is frequently seen showing her support
for several University events, including the Relay For Life
and the Big Purple Growl, and has been recognized with the
Student
Association Outstanding Administrator Award (2007),
Student Association Mentor Award (2006), and the Presidential
Honors Society Sung Bok Kim Award (2004). In addition, in
2008, she was honored as a Distinguished Member of the National
Society of Collegiate Scholars. Since January 2005, she
has served as Faculty Secretary to the
UAlbany Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership
Honor Society and is the recipient of The Eldridge W.
Roark, Jr. Meritorious Service Award and the Robert L. Morlan
Outstanding Faculty Secretary Award. A trained Project Adventure,
Inc. facilitator, Beth holds memberships in Psi Chi National
Society in Psychology, the National Association of Student
Personnel Administrators, and UAlbany’s own Spirit
Committee. She is an alumna of SUNY Fredonia and the University
of Hartford. Prior to joining the UAlbany family, she worked
at the University of Connecticut and University of Hartford
in counseling and health education capacities. Outside of
the office, Beth is an avid kayaker and downhill skiier.
