China

Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications
Regarded as the cradle of China’s digital communications, Chongquing University of Posts and Telecommunications is a midsized university based in China’s fourth municipality. Since its founding in 1950, it has grown into an institution with 15 schools and institutes and more than 20,000 students. Teaching Opportunity: Faculty may visit to teach over a few weeks or for an entire semester.

Compensation: Faculty will be provided with free housing as well as a stipend equivalent to roughly $500 per month.

Denmark

Aarhus University

It is also possible to arrange for faculty who wish to teach during a regular semester. This can be done on a case by case basis.

Compensation: Levels of compensation vary among the four colleges that host visiting faculty, however, on average, faculty can expect to receive 6,000 to 8,000 Euros for teaching the equivalent of a 2.5 to 5.0 credit course. Travel expenses in economy class are reimbursed as well.

Finland

University of Helsinki
The University of Helsinki is the oldest and largest university in Finland. As a top 100 university in the world, it is highly respected for its scholarly output. Teaching/Research Opportunity: One week to One semester

Compensation: 40 Euros per day for up to 3 weeks or 750 Euros per month in excess of 3 weeks, plus housing and breakfast.

France

Paris School of Business

Teaching Opportunity: From 1 to 3 days

Compensation: PSB provides 65 Euros per hour of teaching plus airfare and housing

IAU College
Headquartered in Aix-en-Provence and founded in 1957, IAU College has served American students seeking a study abroad experience. Since then, its academic offerings have significantly expanded to include a bachelors degree in business administration and masters degrees in French Studies, International Relations and Fine Arts. Additionally, its students come, not only from the US, but from many European countries and North Africa.

IAU College has grown to such an extent that it now has campuses in Barcelona and Morocco. More than 1000 students per year study at IAU and come from the dozens of institutions with which IAU has partnerships.

Teaching Opportunity: Resident Fellow (https://www.iaufrance.org/advisorsandfaculty/residentfellows) Faculty may stay for a month or more.

Compensation: Fellows are provided with a studio apartment in the heart of Aix-en-Provence.

Germany

University of Bremen
Although less than 50 years old, the University of Bremen has emerged as an impressive model within German higher education system, having pioneered interdisciplinarity and explorative learning. With more than 23,000 students, it has become the science center of North West Germany. Teaching Opportunity: Intended for faculty in business or economics. Faculty will teach one course in English over 8 – 10 weeks during the summer.

Compensation: Faculty will earn $10,000 for this assignment and will be assisted in finding housing on or near campus.

Italy

University of Padova
The University of Padova, founded in 1222, is the second oldest university in Italy and the fifth oldest university in the world. It is a highly ranked research university with 32 academic departments and a large number of courses and degree programs offered completely in English. Teaching Opportunity: From 2 months to one semester. Must teach a 6 credit course which corresponds to 48 hours of teaching.

Compensation: 15,000 Euros (gross salary)

Mexico

Universidad Juarez del Estado de Durango
Originally founded in 1856, Universidad Juarez del Estado de Durango (UJED) is an autonomous public,research university. It is located in the city and state of Durango and boasts 12 faculties, 10 schools and one college. Teaching Opportunity: Up to four weeks, requiring 10 – 20 contact hours.

Compensation: Round trip plane ticket to Durango, accommodation and meals at the hotel restaurant for the duration of the course and up to 5 extra days.
