Subscribers changing a listserv subscription to "digest”

A listserv is an emailing service to communicate with other people who have subscribed to the same list. Using email, you can participate in any of the IST listservs described below. When you submit a message, your message is relayed to all those on the listserv. You receive messages from other participants via email.

Communication among faculty and students in the College of Computing and Information takes place primarily through the department's listserv IST-L. It is important that ALL IST STUDENTS SUBSCRIBE TO IST-L to be sure that they receive the most up-to-date information about requirements, classes, and activities.

Undergraduate IST students should also subscribe to the ISTBA-L listserv to receive updates on their program requirements and news relevant to their course of study.

The listserv ISTJOBS is for students and alumni who would like to receive announcements of job postings that are sent to the IST office.

Graduates of any of the College's undergraduate or graduate programs are encouraged to subscribe to IST-ALUMNI to find out about their fellow alums, upcoming events, and news.

You may subscribe to these listservs using any on-campus or off-campus email account. You do not have to be a IST student or faculty member to subscribe to IST-L, ISTBA-L or ISTJOBS. However, only alumni can subscribe to IST-ALUMNI.

For instructions on how to obtain a campus e-mail account, refer to the Academic Computing website. For tutorials and assistance on listserv operation, use the LISTSERV Frequently Asked Questions page.
