Winter Session Hour Notice!

Holidays Season Is Right Around The Corner But So is TAX SEASON!
Make sure we can give you what you want and avoid IRS trouble.
The University at Albany is contacting several students and requesting that they either provide or verify their Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). If you receive an email from the Student Accounts Office requesting to either provide or verify your SSN/ITIN, please follow the instructions and visit your MyUAlbany Portal. DO NOT email us your SSN/ITIN!! Just simply follow the instructions and use the secure form online.
Many students and families are eager to receive the "Tuition Statement for Tax Purposes" - the 1098-T - but not having your SSN/ITIN on file will likely put a damper on that seasonal joy. For more information, visit www.albany.edu/1098t
