Wintersession 2016 will begin Monday, December 21, 2015 and run through Tuesday, January 19, 2016. All Wintersession courses are fully online delivered in Blackboard 9.1 and accessible via the Internet. Advance registration begins Wednesday, October 21.

 

Please check back the first week in October for all the information you will need for Wintersession 2016 study at UAlbany.

The online application is no longer available for Wintersession 2017 admission. Visiting or General Studies students wishing to apply for Wintersession 2017 may do so by fax, email or in person by 11 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2016, using the Nondegree Registration Application. Applications received after the 12/23 11 a.m. deadline will not be processed.

 

If you added yourself to a wait list via the Automated WaitList Process in MyUAlbany, you may have been successfully moved from the waitlist and enrolled in a class for wintersession. To confirm if you have been enrolled or not, please log into MyUAlbany and view your class schedule. If you were enrolled and do not wish to take the class, you must drop it from your schedule by 11:59 pm, Monday, December 26, to avoid financial liability. Enrolled in a Wintersession course? All enrolled students can access their courses two weeks before the first day of classes (beginning on Friday, December 9, 2016) via MyUAlbany. For additional information, please review the 2017 Wintersession "Getting Started" information. Students are encouraged to use the two weeks before the winter term begins to review the course schedule and syllabus and familiarize themselves with the system. Technical issues (if any) should be resolved prior to the Wintersession start date of Friday, December 23, 2016.

 

Applications are no longer being accepted for Wintersession 2017. These courses will again be offered fully online in our 2017 Summer Sessions. Advance registration begins Monday, March 20, 2017.

The Office of General Studies and Summer Sessions will be closed for the holidays on Monday, December 26, and Monday, January 2. The office will be on reduced operating hours during the University's Intersession Energy Savings Initiative (December 21, 2016 - January 18, 2017). Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, January 19.

PLEASE NOTE: A Blackboard outage to install required updates has been scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2016, from 2:45AM - 1:00PM. During this time, access to fully online Wintersession courses WILL NOT be available. Enrolled students should plan their time accordingly. Additional information on the updates can be found here.
