The State University of New York Board of Trustees today appointed Dr. Robert J. Jones as the 19th president of the University at Albany, following a national search that attracted candidates from leading research universities across the country.

The University at Albany inaugurated its 19th President, Robert J. Jones, Ph.D., on Sept. 28. Dr. Jones was formally installed at a ceremony in the University's Performing Arts Center.
