Research Interests
Kendra Farstad is a phase I PhD student studying Mesoamerican archaeology. Her primary interests are paleobotany, ethnobotany, plant use continuity, and ritual and medicinal uses of plants. 
Kendra traveled to Mayapán with funding from the IMS First Encounters grant during the summer of 2013, the data she acquired as a result of this initial fieldwork serves as the basis for her Masters thesis.
