"Initiatives for Women, which assists University women in attaining their educational and career goals, presents its first round of awards. The program provides scholarships, fellowships, research funding, internships, career advisement services, and other forms of support. To date, Initiatives for Women has made awards to 51 participants. Through the generosity of Susan Van Horn Shipherd '64, Bernice Mosbey Peebles '39, Patricia Salkin '85, Roanne Kulaloff '81, School of Business Assistant Dean John Levato, the University Women's Association, and other programs supporters, a fourth round of awards will be presented in early 1997."
