A discussion on "Young Women and Relationships: What Are the Health Issues" will be the topic of the 2nd Annual February Forum presented jointly by the University at Albany? Initiatives For Women and the Albany Academy for Girls. The event will be held on Thursday, February 22, at 5:30 in the Alumni House on the University? uptown campus. The program will feature a panel of distinguished experts from the two institutions. The panel will be moderated by Susan Arbetter, host of the popular "All Things Considered" program on WAMC radio.

Other panelists include: Susan Kaplow, a psychotherapist in private practice in Albany; Marjorie Pryse, professor of American literature and Women? Studies at the University; Estela Rivero, director of the University? Counseling Center; Cajsa Schumacher, a general practitioner in pediatric and adolescent medicine at the Latham office of Community Health Plan; and Laura Staff, associate director of pre-doctoral education and an instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at Albany Medical Center.

The panelists will focus their attention on the critical question: What are the crucial emotional and physical health issues for women? relationships from adolescence through early adulthood, and how can educators and family members we of help?

Initiatives for Women is a fund-raising campaign at the University at Albany designed to enhance educational and career opportunities for women. Part of the Campaign For Albany, Initiatives for Women has a target of raising $1 million. The goal of the effort is to provide women with the means to advance themselves personally and professionally.
