Hosts a radio program, "All
Things Considered," on National Public radio on
WAMC.
Panelists
Susan Kaplow
M.S.W. Psychotherapist in private practice in Albany. She designed
and introduced the course, "Working with Girls and Women,"
into the social work curriculum at the University at Albany. Also
at the University she introduced and was the first director of the
Women's Studies Internship, which places students in professional
settings under the guidance of woman mentors. Susan Kaplow
currently serves on the advisory board to the Safety Zone, an HIV
prevention program for lesbian
and gay youth.
Marjorie Pryse
Ph.D., M.S.W. Professor of American Literature and Women's Studies
at the University at Albany. She is co-editor of American Women
Regionalists: A Norton Anthologv, and Conjuring: Black Women, Fiction,
and Literary, Tradition. She is President of the National Women's
Studies Association.
Estela Rivero
Ph.D. Director of the University
Counseling Center at the University at Albany. She
received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of
Michigan where she specialized in working with late adolescents
and young adults. Since that time she has continued to work with
this age group in university and college counseling centers in both
public and private institutions.
Cajsa Schumacher
M.D. General practitioner in pediatric and adolescent medicine at
the Latham office of Community Health Plan. Her special interests
include Behavioral Pediatrics and Parent/Patient Education. She
is a parent of a student at the Albany Academy for Girls.
Laura Staff
M.D. Associate Director of pre-doctoral education and an instructor
in the Department of Family Medicine at Albany Medical Center. She
received her B.S. in Physics from the University at Albany in 1986
and her M.D. in 1992 from the Albany Medical Center.
