As senior director of federal government affairs for Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), Charles H. Fritts specializes in tax and financial issues. He has more than 30 years’ of legislative, political and legal experience.
Previously Mr. Fritts served as the vice president of government relations for the American Gas Association (AGA), a major energy trade association, where his responsibilities included tax, financial and energy production matters. He has represented the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), National Apartment Association and Mortgage Bankers Association. In these positions, he led advocacy efforts on tax and housing finance.
Mr. Fritts is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University at Albany and a law degree from George Mason University School of Law.
