Sun. Jan. 20:Dorm opens for early arrivals

Tues. Jan. 22:Dorm Check-in from 12:00 to 4:00pm at Waterbury Hall (325 Western Ave. Albany, NY)

Wed. Jan 23:Registration & Testing

Thurs. Jan 24: Orientation & Testing

Fri. Jan. 25: Orientation & Welcome

Sat. Jan. 26: Horizons International Welcome Dinner: 6:00-9:00pm. Grace Chapel of Clifton Park (Rides available.)

Mon. Jan. 28: Classes begin Meet in the Science Library Atrium outside SL-G14 at 9:00am. Classes end at 2:30pm.

Fri. Feb. 1: Morning classes: Friday morning classes begin at 9:20 and end at 12:15.

Week of Feb. 4:Safety and Security Talk: Learn what you can do to protect your belongings and stay safe on campus and in Albany.

Tues. Feb. 5:PPD Testing 10:15-11:45 in Campus Center Assembly Hall

Thurs. Feb. 7:PPD Reading 1:15-3:00 in HU-125 & HU-127

Thurs. Feb. 7 (and every Thursday): International Knits Knitting Group: Everyone is welcome. 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., OIE Conference Room, SL G-40

Sat. Feb. 9:Ice Skating with ISSS at Swinburne Park: 12:30 p.m., Swinburne Park Ice Rink (weather permitting)

Wed. Feb. 13: Immigration Talk: Come and listen to important information about visas, travel, and staying in status. This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered! Bring your passports! 2:00-3:00 in CC Assembly Hall

Thurs. Feb. 14: Valentine’s Day Party: 2:15-4:30 in Science Library-24

Fri. Feb. 15:Electives begin and continue every Friday from 9:20am to 12:25pm.

Mon. Feb. 18-Tue. Feb. 19: Winter Break – No classes

March 10: Midterm

Wed. March 12 (and every Wednesday): Latin & Swing Dancing: Everyone is welcome. 3:00-4:00pm

Sat. Mar. 15: St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Tues. March 18: Potluck Planning meeting at 2:00pm.

Wed. March 19: Albany River Rats Game at 7:00pm.

Fri. Mar. 21-Fri. Mar. 30: Spring Break – No classes

Thurs. Apr. 3: New York State Capitol Tour and New York State Museum Visit: Take a guided tour of the NY State Capitol. Learn about the history of NY when various historic buildings were built and see where the state Senate and Assembly meet. Visit the New York State Museum to learn about this great state.

Fri. Apr. 4: No IELP classes Guest speaker at 9:30 in ED 22

Fri. April 11: International Potluck Luncheon: Share a meal and entertainment from your country with IELP classmates and teachers, and taste delicious delicacies from many countries. Don’t miss your chance to experience an international feast!

Fri. Apr. 18: Bowling: STRIKE! After class, compete with classmates in a fun, friendly, afternoon of bowling at Playdium Lanes.

Thurs. Apr. 24: Volleyball: Serve! Spike! Score! Compete against your classmates in an exciting game of volleyball. 2:30-4:00 in PE Building.

Sun. Apr. 27: Fountain Day

Sun. Apr. 27: Multicultural Celebration: 12:30-3:30 at Holy Family Church

Sun. May 4: Pippin: Enjoy a real high school musical at 4:00 at Albany High School

Tues. May 6: Last day of classes

Wed. May 7: Final exam

Thurs. May 8: Final Party: Celebrate the end of the semester and your accomplishments at a final party luncheon with your classmates and teachers.
