Apogee Internet Connection Information

We are pleased to announce that the University at Albany has partnered with Apogee to provide the residential network (ResNet). All residence halls will have reliable, high-speed wired and wireless access to the Internet and 24x7 customer support. The University and Apogee are committed to providing students with broadband access equivalent to or better than those you receive at home. Optional services, including Internet telephone service and upgrades to faster speeds, are available for an additional fee.

We are encouraging students to sign up for an Apogee account as soon as possible. This will provide you with immediate access to ResNet when you arrive on campus.

It’s easy to sign up for an Apogee account:
• Go to the Apogee web site at http://myresnet.apogeenet.net
• Click the Get Started button
• Choose the University at Albany as your campus
• Choose the Quad and Hall that you have been assigned to
• You will then be given the option to upgrade your internet service or to use the basic high speed service

During the process, you will be prompted to enter a Registration ID that is based on your Albany ID. The Albany ID is the nine digit number beginning with zeros that was provided on your letter of acceptance.

If you have forgotten your Albany ID, you can obtain it from the Registrar’s Office or logon to MyUAlbany and select ‘My Demographic Information’.

Upon completion of the sign up process, you will be assigned an Apogee username and password. Keep this information confidential and do not share it with anyone.
