There are many different ways for you to get involved in the life of the University community, forge lifelong friendships, and make a difference in your own life and the lives of others.
In our residence halls, you'll meet a diverse group of people from across the world. Over dining hall meals or late-night Danes After Dark events, you'll learn about other cultures, gain new perspectives, and refine your values and goals.
UAlbany's 200-plus clubs and organizations give you abundant opportunities to explore your interests and experiment with new ideas. From the Student Association to our volunteer ambulance service, you'll find plenty of ways to get involved. Don't see a club that suits your particular interest? It's easy to start your own.
Our campus boasts a thriving cultural scene. The Performing Arts Center, for example, sponsors a full season of concerts, plays, lectures, and more. The Art Museum houses more than 2,000 pieces of art. And the New York State Writers Institute brings important authors to campus for readings, lectures, and writing workshops.
You'll stay active, too: whether you join one of our Division I sports teams or work out in one of our three full-size gyms, you'll find the resources you need to maintain a healthy mind-body connection.
