Current Research Interests:
Having completed two books on governmental motion picture censorship, I am branching out. My next project concerns the reform mayor of Detroit during the Panic of 1893, Hazen Pingree. His story is remarkable: a truly honest politician who cared about the people's welfare during an immensely difficult depression.
