This film runs for one hour and twenty minutes. "Dollface" was directed in 1945 by Brian Foy, it's a romantic musical starring Vivian Blaine as Mary Elizabeth "Dollface" Carroll and Dennis O'Keefe as Michael Francis "Mike" Hannegan. The main supporting role and well known singer and actor of the day is Perry Como as Nicky Ricci the ghost writer hired to transcribe "Dollface's" autobiography. In the film the renowned burlesque performer "Dollface" is trying to make something better out of herself in the theater. She's told that she needs more class to be taken seriously and not just seen as a burlesque dancer. |
