My research interests include Colonial America, Gender and War, the Atlantic World, Material Culture, and Public History. My dissertation explores issues of gender and rank during the Seven Years' War through the lens of Charlotte Browne, a widow and mother who served as matron of the British army in the North American theatre of war.
