The University Art Museum's State Street Stories is an exhibit that brings to life many of the compelling narratives that make State Street one of American history's most significant and fascinating thoroughfares. Lower State Street's two grandest buildings - the Delaware and Hudson Building at the base of the street and the New York State Capitol at the top of the hill - are the visual and narrative anchors of State Street Stories.

The exhibit, which offers a vivid portrait of Albany's heritage, features pantings, photographs, and a wealth of other archival material on loan from regionally prominent public and private collections.

In conjunction with the exhibit, a State Street Stories Sunday lecture series will be offered. Lectures are listed individually. On lecture dates, the exhibit will be open 1 - 4 pm.
