Bob Gluck Concert

Be prepared to be entertained when you join Bob Gluck for an evening of music played on his home-built interactive electronic instruments. This performance, which features Zoe Zak, is part of the Jewish History and Community in Albany exhibit at The Sage Colleges.

Bob Gluck is a composer, educator and rabbi who has performed in Europe and the United States. His live performances feature home-built interactive electronic instruments, including the multi-sensor "e-Board" and a variety of musical sculptures that are modeled on traditional Jewish religious objects.

Gluck's music has been discussed and reviewed in publications including Hadassah Magazine and Computer Music Journal. He holds a MFA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a graduate of Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work. He studied piano at the Julliard and Manhattan Schools of Music and is currently director of the Electronic Music Studio and teaches Electronic Music and Judaic Studies at the University at Albany.
