About

Professional Interests

Jennifer has experience in individual therapy with diverse adults and young adults struggling with adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, interpersonal challenges and substance use. She has also worked with clients coming to therapy with goals of improving self-esteem and/or striving for self-actualization.

In terms of research, Jennifer’s research interests include feminist pedagogy, social justice theory, multicultural clinical supervision, LGBTQ issues and international students’ well-being.

Approach to Therapy

Jennifer’s style is collaborative, empathic, and non-judgmental. She works from an integrative approach tailoring her interventions to best suit the needs of each client, including elements from psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction. Jennifer enjoys working with all populations and is an LGBTQ ally.

Approach to Wellness

Jennifer enjoys a balance of outdoor activities (hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter), indoor activities (reading, crafting and playing piano) and sometimes a mixture of both (sketching in nature).
