As an undergraduate, Chris attended UAlbany and majored in biology. His decision to remain a part of this community for his graduate work was based on the positive relationships he had formed and the excellent programs offered.
As the coordinator of Project Excel, a federally funded program, Chris works with students who are first generation college students, come from low-income households, and/or are disabled. His undergraduate experience in biology helps to broaden his background. "It helps when working with students; it gives you a different perspective."
Chris graduated in December and as of now, his plans are to stay in Albany, continuing his work with Project Excel. He will also be teaching a class as an adjunct lecturer in the spring of 2006.
