Tony has been doing research in Dr. Ben Szaro's lab in the Department of Biological Sciences, studying the development of axons and synapses of the nervous system of frogs. He has been on Dr. Szaro's team for a year and has loved every single minute he is there. "It helps me fixate the information learned in class."
Dedication defines biology students, especially Tony, who not only is highly involved on campus with organizations like the Environmental Task Force and Biology Club, but also does research and still finds time for his friends and fellow classmates.
Tony participated in the March to College Day, sponsored by the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. It was a day when students from high school and middle schools came and spent the day with college students on a campus. Tony encouraged them to attend college and to become informed citizens. He answered their questions about what they could expect when they came to college and the importance of time management.
