What she does...
Many factors brought Alicia to UAlbany.
She is from the area and wanted to stay relatively
close to home, but it was her interest in forensics
and the affiliation that UAlbany has with the New York
State Police (NYSP) that drew her attention. "There's
an excellent graduate program here that is run partly
by the staff of the NYSP Forensic Investigation
Center."
When Alicia's younger sister, Jessica,
began her freshman year at UAlbany this past fall,
Alicia made sure to give her advice. "You have to stay
on top of your work. If you fall behind, you're stuck
playing catch up all year; that's no fun."
Unlike many seniors who are beginning the
job search, Alicia has already begun her job. In
January, she began a full time job as a Senior Lab
Technician at the NYSP Forensic Investigation Center.
She's now faced with the task of juggling a full time
job and going to school full time for her final
semester. "I plan ahead; nothing can wait until the
last minute otherwise it will never get done!"
