 Broadcast Meteorology is a unique major, as it combines forecasting with speech composition and journalism, and is a good major if you're not interested in the research aspects of meteorology. "I've wanted to do this since I've been 10 or 11 years old," Josh says. "I came to UAlbany because of this program."
The board game "Perfection" is how Josh would best describe himself. When under the pressure of the timer, he can put things together and is very calm. But once the time runs out, "I explode and go crazy," he says. Then he calms down and gets back to work.
When Josh isn't predicting the weather or being involved in one of his many activities, he enjoys just hanging out in someone's dorm room and catching up with his friends. He likes going to Dave Matthews Band concerts because they're very relaxed.
Ten years from now, whether he's forecasting the weather or working for the District Attorney (his back-up to forecasting is law school), Josh primarily hopes to be happy and in control of what's going on in his life. |
