"Don't hate something that might actually be good for you. ... Better yet, just don't hate."

What she does...

Amina with members of Sigma Tau Delta

Great DaneAmina is mad passionate about her involvement in The Vagina Monologues, performance art, and poetry. She is interested in law and politics. She became an English major when she realized that the analytical skills used in that field were crucial in helping her develop arguments for court cases. Amina's steadfast commitment to studying gender issues developed when she noted the inseparable correlation between Women's Studies and politics. She has an outspoken, bold, and obstinately present personality.

Great DaneWhat are her thoughts on college? "I never knew college would be this amazing. If they had told me I'd be talking about vaginas, discussing theories, watching films, learning Arabic, and writing, I wouldn't have believed them. Being here, doing this, is absolutely elating."

Great DaneAmina feels that Albany professors carry the institution on their backs. "The professors here are amazing. Always willing to listen, approachable, and definitely dependable."

Where do you see yourself in ten years? "So I'd be 29 huh... I'd like to be somewhere making the decisions."
