Where is he now? Michael is one of 39 new students accepted to the School of Dental Medicine at Stonybrook (SUNY). His fellow students recently elected him President of the Class of 2009.
Michael's interest in biology during high school prompted him to look into the excellent pre-health program that UAlbany has to offer, which has ultimately prepared him for a future in dental school.
Outside of school, Michael enjoys going to the gym and being outdoors. He grabs the rod and goes fly-fishing in his spare time, as well as takes pleasure in skiing and swimming when he has the opportunity.
Michael's love for biology led him to a great academic experience - Michael names his most memorable academic moment as during his senior year, when he was allowed the opportunity to take Vertebrate Histology and Comparative Anatomy of Chordates with Dr. Stephen Brown. "Dr. Brown changed the way I view biology, and thanks to his classes, I know that I'll be leaving Albany on the note that I never want to stop learning."
The object that most represents Michael is an automobile transmission. "I maintain a strong focus, yet can quickly adapt, and consider different perspectives."
