This master's program is available to graduate students who are enrolled in the following doctoral programs through the Department of Psychology:
- Behavioral Neuroscience PhD
- Clinical Psychology PhD
- Cognitive Psychology PhD
- Industrial and Organizational Psychology PhD
- Social-Personality Psychology PhD
This master's degree is a supplemental degree that is only earned along the way to the PhD.
Program of Study (30 credits minimum)
- Psychology (12 credits, minimum): Including Psy 510, 511; and two courses from two areas outside the student's area of specialization.
- Supporting courses as advised (18 credits minimum).
- Satisfactory completion of a master's comprehensive examination in psychology, or satisfactory completion of a thesis and an oral examination on, but not limited to, the thesis.
- Resident study: Each student must complete at least 9 credits in one session of a regular academic year.
