Philosophy PhD / Bioethics MS (Albany Medical College/The Graduate College of Union University)
The program begins with a strong core of courses in epistemology, metaphysics, value theory, logic, and the history of philosophy. They then take further courses and do their PhD dissertation research within their elected area of specialization. Students work at all times in close cooperation with individual faculty members in their area. Students are encouraged where appropriate to complement their study with advanced courses in cognate fields.

Special Notes:
To become enrolled in the dual degree program students must apply to each program separately through its own institution's admissions process and must be accepted by each program in accordance with its admissions standards. Students will attend the University at Albany campus for philosophy work. Bioethics courses will be taken either online or in person on the Albany Medical College campus.
