Information for Non-Degree Applicants
Many UAlbany graduate programs welcome students seeking non-degree graduate enrollment on a space-available basis. You can find a list of these programs as well as those with special requirements at UAlbany Non-Degree Areas of Study. Note that non-degree students may accrue no more than 12 credits in any UAlbany graduate degree program.
Application Payment Form and Fee
All applications currently require receipt by mail of a non-refundable application fee and Application Fee Payment Form. Upon receipt of the form and fee, applicants are assigned an application number. Once you have received your application number, you may view your application status online.
Completing the Application
Whether you submit your non-degree application Online or by Mail, make sure you have fully completed the entire application.
Transcripts
Either after you submit an online non-degree application, or with your mailed-in application, you must submit an official copy of your transcript obtained in a sealed envelope from your highest degree granting institution. You may request that this university or college’s registrar forward an official transcript to the following address:
