This workshop will discuss various tools and strategies for writing an effective Master's Thesis.  Dr. Prelow will address the importance of managing expectations and how to alleviate stress as you go through the writing process.

Preparing for the Comprehensive Examination

A panel of professors from multiple departments at the University will provide students with an inter-disciplinary discussion on an array of techniquest to prepare for their qualifying exams.  These panalists will answer questions on what students should expect.  We have included a panel in this workshop to accommodate as many different students as possible..

Writing Publishable Papers

Presenter:  Dr. Jason Lane, Associate Professor, Department of Educational
                     Administration and Policy Studies

Dr. Jason Lane is a prolific scholar and has authored books, book chapters, monographs, refereed scholarly articles and delivered presentation in a number of academic venues.  In this workshop, he will discuss various stategies to advance students' publishing and research agendas.
