Graduate study at UAlbany offers excellence and great value, especially when compared with regional and national average costs. Kiplinger's Personal Finance "Best Values in Public Colleges, 2013" ranks UAlbany as one of the nation's top colleges for excellence in academics and affordability, and Forbes magazine's latest survey, in 2009, placed UAlbany in its top 100 "America's Best Public Colleges" list.
Our Student Accounts website provides detailed costs for resident, non-resident and international tuition and fees, and projected cost of attendance.
In addition to affordable tuition and fees, graduate students at UAlbany can apply for financial assistance through fellowships, teaching assistantships and research assistantships. The vast majority of assistantship, fellowship and tuition scholarship awards are administered directly in the University’s schools and colleges by faculty and staff in each academic program. Accordingly, inquiries regarding the availability and qualification for such awards should be directed to the academic department of interest. The Office of Graduate Education provides direct assistance for prospective students throughout the application and enrollment process.
