Manages the NSF (National Science Foundation) grant: Alliance for
Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP), the Carson Carr
Graduate Diversity Scholar assistantship, the Graduate Tuition
Opportunity Program (GTOP) and the Discover UAlbany Graduate Fair;
Designs numerous student-focused support activities to improve the
recruitment, academic success and graduation of graduate students, in
particular, graduate students from diverse backgrounds. Confers with
and, as appropriate, represents Dean of Graduate Studies on all affairs
connected to the recruitment and retention of underrepresented graduate
students and the promotion of diversity. In addition, she assists and
guides graduate program directors and faculty on best practices to
recruit and retain prospective and current graduate students, from
underrepresented backgrounds.
