Clifford Kim joined the University in 2006 as Assistant to the Provost before assuming his current position as Director of Government Relations in 2007. In this role, he supports the implementation and advocacy of the University’s legislative priorities and the advancement of presidential strategic initiatives and special projects. Cliff has over 25 years of higher education experience spanning numerous areas and functions.

Previously, he worked at New York University serving as executive assistant to the chief of staff in the office of the president and also as supervisor of graduation services in the office of the university registrar. Prior to joining NYU, he began his career in higher education at Metropolitan College of New York holding several positions including senior administrator of a national, K-12 school reform model, assistant to the president, research associate, statistical analyst and acting registrar.

Cliff earned a Master of Arts in higher education administration from NYU and graduated with honors from Hunter College, City University of New York, with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Most recently, he earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in educational administration from UAlbany and is proud to be a Great Dane.
