UAlbany Fund Calling Program Surpasses $1 Million.
The UAlbany Fund Calling Center has realized its $1 million goal in gifts and pledges for the 2006-07 campaign. The Call Center surpassed the mark the weekend of April 28-29 - two weeks ahead of schedule.
“This is an impressive achievement, and a testament to the great work of the UAlbany Fund staff and all of our talented and committed student representatives,” noted Vice President for University Development Deborah A.W. Read.
The UAlbany Fund, the University at Albany’s annual giving program, is expected to raise over $3 million overall this year in unrestricted donations from alumni, parents, faculty and friends. The campaign will conclude June 30.
Annual Giving Director Dan Doyle said, “UAlbany relies on private support to remain competitive, and our student callers do a phenomenal job getting the message out. It’s exciting to see our alumni and parents responding so positively.”
The UAlbany Fund provides the University’s most flexible source of revenue, supporting such initiatives as scholarships, faculty development, smart classrooms, technology laboratories, career counseling, internships and student life.
